Block-moulds with bottom
Medicos Food has a wide range of certified food-grade polypropylene moulds and block-moulds with bottom (colouring possible). Our products are designed according to customer requirements.

- Star pattern or ribbed bottom:
- for optimal tangential flow whey draining, avoiding flows between blocks
- giving cheese a traditional appearance
- Possible addition of extensions (fitted by external collar)
- Holding strips surround these block-moulds for more rigidity and easier manual or automatic handling
- Makes rims on round cheese possible (quality – marketing)
- Assembly on demand from mould cells welded together to form the block-mould
- Enables mechanisation and flipping in stacks
- Designed for use by industrial cheese dairies (mechanised facilities required)
Block-moulds with multiple bottoms
This type of mould with a perforated bottom allows whey to be drained by gravity (rather than by tangential flow with a traditional mould bottom).
Requires a double or triple bottom consisting of two perforated layers separated by a solid disc.
